Your Doga instructor will guide you and your pup through a 60-minute yoga practice and provide moments throughout the class for you to bond, reward, and breathe with your dog. You will be encouraged to share your energy with your dog and explore the natural bond that exists between you and your canine best friend. Doga will provide you an opportunity to learn from your dog how to be in the present and have fun, while our dogs may pick up the calm and focus of our practice, eventually becoming more relaxed and comfortable with sharing a space with others. Please bring all pets on leash or in a carrier. Studies have shown that cats are 20x more likely to be reunited with their families when microchipped. Dogs are 2.5x as likely to be reunited! Collars and tags can fall off or be damaged, but microchips are permanent and can’t be lost! Join us to create your own, one-of-a-kind acrylic pet portrait on canvas, done in a colorful style inspired by American Pop Artist Andy Warhol. No artistic experience is necessary! We begin with a short lesson about painting techniques with 3 different brush types. Then, we'll walk you through each step of the process - from transferring your pet's image to the canvas with graphite, to painting the background, to painting the main features of your pet, to the final finishing details. We will use vibrant, non-toxic acrylic paints. All art materials and light refreshments will be provided. About the Instructor: Joannie Loobey has been practicing Reiki since 2014. She is trained in the Traditional Japanese Usui Reiki Linage. She holds the title of Okuden Advanced Animal Reiki II and Shinpinden Teacher Reiki III by SARA (Shelter Animal Reki Association). Joannie began her journey by attending the SARA (Shelter Animal Rescue Association) Animal Retreat held at Ratna Ling Tibetan Buddhist Retreat on the California Coast in 2014. From fruity to earthy, floral to warm spices, join fine chocolate maker Todd Oliver as he takes us on a world tour of rare chocolate. Our journey begins with a brief tour of the early history of cacao, and what differentiates ‘fine’ cacao from bulk chocolate. As a follow up, we will walk through the process of bean-to-bar chocolate making. You’ll experience taking roasted cocoa beans in your hand and hearing the ‘crack’ of the bean, enjoying the taste of the nib.
