Herbie is a 2 year-old, 46 pound, neutered Bulldog mix. 

Are you ready to play? Herbie is! This sweet, happy boy was left at a shelter by his owners when he developed a medical need. Despite all he has been through, his first move when meeting a new human is to hug them and let them know he is soooo happy to meet them!

In addition to being a happy boy, Herbie rides beautifully in the car, is crate trained, house trained, knows several commands, gets along with other dogs, and wants to be everyone's pal!

We asked his foster mom what she thinks of Herbie, and she told us, "He is an amazing dog and he bonds very quickly and strongly with his people.  He is such a happy go lucky guy even though he may have been treated poorly.  He is just a love bug and whomever adopts him will be getting an amazing loyal dog.  I can't say enough good things about Herbie!"

He has sooo many great qualities, one might think he is perfect - but Herbie is a real dog, after all. He wants a treat to coax him into his crate, and he will let you know, in no uncertain terms, that he will meet EVERY person and dog on your walk, no matter how much of a hurry you are in. But then, you look at that face, and all is forgiven ;-)

Herbie will soon be ready for his forever home, and he cannot wait to meet his new family!
