Meet Cloudberry! This feisty and playful boy has had a long journey in foster care but is finally ready to find his forever home. He is a sweet kitten who purrs readily and loves to curl up in your lap. He is used to being handled by young children and being around dogs.  Like his brother, Huckleberry, Cloud has gorgeous heterochromia eyes and the unique "van" bi-color coat pattern - he is mostly white with black spots on his head and tail. 

Cloudberry came to the San Jose Animal Shelter in mid-July with his mother and NINE brothers and sisters. Yes, he is from a litter of 10! Emaciated and underweight for his age, Blueberry and his siblings also had ringworm - making it difficult for him to find rescue. Thanks to a volunteer willing to house and treat him and his family - SVPP was able to rescue everyone and keep the family together! But just as he was getting comfy, the farm where he was staying was hit by the SCU complex fires, and they had to be evacuated quickly. Cloud and his siblings then bounced around temporary fosters until settling in with a few of his siblings at his current foster. Since then, he has fully recovered from ringworm and is as happy and healthy as can be!

Cloudberry has been with his siblings his entire life, so he is used to a big family! He will need an engaging environment, preferably with one of his siblings; luckily, he has nine siblings to choose from! Cloud is gentle and friendly, but is the most introverted of his litter and occasionally growls and hisses at his siblings and other pets - but hey, if you had nine siblings, you might get a little sick of them too! Despite this, he has never been aggressive towards anyone and is fine around young children. However, you may need to introduce him slowly to any existing pets who might not appreciate his mouthiness :) 

You can find his family by looking for the other "berries" - Huckleberry, Boysenberry, Loganberry, Blueberry, Raspberry, Juniperberry, Strawberry, Cranberry, and Gooseberry.

Prior to adoption, all kittens are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FELV, vaccinated and microchipped.
