My Life Starts Now: Nikki's former owners referred to her as "it" and treated her as a breeding machine. When she was picked up by animal control for the fourth time, the law mandated she had to be spayed before return. The owners said they did not want her if she would not make them money. Thankfully, the staff at Tricity Animal Shelter put Nikki's needs first and kept her safe at the shelter. They got her spayed and gave her teeth a cleaning and let SVPP know that this sweet little girl needed a safe and loving retirement home. Nikki will never ever have to have puppies again now that she is living with her amazing foster family and learning how to be a pampered pooch from fellow SVPP foster pup, Bennie.
