Meet Cranberry! This sweet and playful has had a long journey in foster care but is finally ready to find her forever home. She is a gentle kitten who purrs readily and loves to curl up in your lap. She came to the San Jose Animal Shelter in mid-July with her mother and NINE brothers and sisters. Yes, she is from a litter of 10! Emaciated and underweight, Cranberry and her siblings also had ringworm - making it difficult for them to find rescue. Thanks to a volunteer willing to house and treat Cranberry and her family - SVPP was able to rescue everyone and keep the family together! But just as she was getting comfy, the farm where she was staying was hit by the SCU complex fires, and her family had to be evacuated quickly. Cranberry and her siblings then bounced around temporary fosters until settling in with a few of her siblings at her current foster. Since then, she has fully recovered from ringworm and is as happy and healthy as can be! She has grown up being handled by young children, and living with dogs. Cranberry has been with her siblings her entire life, so she is used to a big family! She has a twin sister, Strawberry, with whom she is incredibly close. She will need an engaging environment with other pets - preferably with one (or more) of her siblings; luckily, she has nine siblings to choose from! You can find her family by looking for the other "berries" - Huckleberry, Blueberry, Loganberry, Cloudberry, Boysenberry, Juniperberry, Strawberry, Raspberry, and Gooseberry.
