Thank you for expressing interest in becoming a volunteer for Silicon Valley Pet Project! Your time, talent, and experience are critical in fulfilling our mission of saving local at-risk shelter pets. We're a growing organization committed to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming homeless pets with a focus on at-risk animals at our local San Jose municipal shelter (one of the largest animal shelters in California). We need people to help in every aspect of the organization. We are a foster-based organization which means that the animals we care for live in private homes of our volunteer foster parents. Unless you are interested in applying to become a foster parent, our volunteer positions do NOT include hands-on animal experience.
